OwnMyWorth ("we," "us," or "our") operates ownmyworth.com and provides AI-powered career intelligence reports. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.

By using OwnMyWorth, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when submitting a report request:

  • Full name and email address
  • Resume text, work history, job titles, duties, dates of employment, hours per week
  • Education history and certifications
  • Target role, target city or cities, and salary goals
  • Date of birth (used solely to determine federal age-eligibility thresholds)
  • Veteran status, disability status, DD-214 / VA rating information (provided voluntarily)
  • Savings amount and spouse employment status (used for financial planning context in reports)
  • Social media handles (LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X) if provided
  • Land ownership notes if provided
  • Job posting URL for targeted resume rebuilds

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address (used for rate limiting and fraud prevention), browser type, and pages visited. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

How We Use Your Information

  • Generate your AI-powered career intelligence report, resume rebuild, and cover letters
  • Match you to relevant job openings based on your experience and target role
  • Email your completed report, resume, and supporting documents
  • Process your payment securely through Stripe
  • Send a follow-up report 7 days after delivery (Intel tier only) comparing your market position
  • Send occasional marketing emails about new features or relevant resources — you may opt out at any time
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

Third-Party Services

We share your data with the following service providers solely to operate the platform:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — your resume text and work history are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your report. Anthropic does not train models on API inputs. See anthropic.com/privacy.
  • Stripe — processes payment card data. We never store card numbers. See stripe.com/privacy.
  • Resend — sends transactional and marketing emails on our behalf. See resend.com/privacy.
  • Convex — stores your order data and report output in a US-based managed database. See convex.dev/privacy.
  • Vercel — hosts the application on US-based servers. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your order data and generated reports for as long as necessary to deliver the service and provide customer support. Report files stored in our cloud storage remain accessible via the link in your delivery email. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing reports@ownmyworth.com.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email reports@ownmyworth.com. We will respond within 30 days.

To opt out of marketing emails, click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or visit ownmyworth.com/unsubscribe. You will continue to receive transactional emails related to orders you place.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, email reports@ownmyworth.com.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), database-level Row Level Security, and restricted API access via authentication tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
